ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE
A typical Malaysian adult only takes an average of 2000-3000 steps a day. Most of their time are spent working, commuting and on digital devices. Sedentary lifestyle is a major problem in Malaysia with a report said that the prevalence of obesity was at 13.3 per cent, while overweight was at 38.5 per cent.
The goal of this challenge is to encourage Malaysians to move more in their daily life. Hence, Just Walk! Penang challenges you to walk at least 300KM or 390,000 steps, or more in 60 days (5KM/6500 steps a day). This is a self monitoring event based on good will. You are required to submit your daily steps/distance report generated from your activity tracker app at the end of the challenge. Participants who meet the minimum requirements will be given an achievement medal along with an e-cert stating their accumulated distance and steps.
On top of that, participants’ basic vital stats such as body weight, body fat percentage and blood pressure will be measured before, and after the challenge. Participants may also have complimentary access to a certified Health & Fitness Coach to guide them throughout the challenge, plus access to health & fitness articles to aid their success*.
*Complimentary access to a coach is during Just Walk! Penang on every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month at 4.30pm. Access to health & fitness article is available at our FB group. Please refer below the date and time for complimentary weigh-in and body measurement.

HOW TO SUBMIT REPORT
Screen shot your summary (distance or steps) on the activity tracker’s app at the end of the day, or go to your history and screen shot your past stats. Email each day’s report to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also compile your stats and email as an attachment at the end of each week to be listed in the leaderboard. Please include the dates, your FULL NAME and contact number in your email for verification. While daily or weekly submission is optional, a complete submission with your stats must be emailed latest by 21st September 2018.

There is a no refund if you do not complete the challenge. Medal and e-cert will only be issued to successful participants. Access to a coach is subject to availability. You are allowed to track your steps/distance any where, at any time from
